Kwan-lam Lau
Kwan-lam (violin) is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, where she completed a Professional Diploma, Master of Arts in Performance, and Licentiate Diploma in Teaching. A prizewinner of numerous international competitions, her studies were supported by the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme, the Henry Wood Accommodation Trust, the Royal Philharmonic Society Instrument Purchase Grants, and scholarships from her conservatoires. She performs regularly across the UK, Europe, and Hong Kong, and was invited to serve as a jury member and to give masterclasses at the Hong Kong International String Competition in 2023 and 2024.
Kwan-lam and Lance’s collaboration is rooted in the extensive repertoire for their two instruments, with a particular focus on works from the 19th to early 20th centuries, while also exploring a wide range of other styles.
