Ensemble Fioritura

Founded in 2022 by Karen Wong and Lance, the wind-and-piano ensemble of flexible instrumentation mainly consists of Hong Kong-born musicians based either in the UK or Hong Kong. Apart from expanding the repertoire and exploring the soundworld of the combination of instruments, promoting the music of our time and inspiring social discourses are central to their ambition, which has led to commissions of new compositions by living composers, including Alvin Leung and Tak Kei Wong, and premieres of music by Richard Stoker and Lance. They have toured around the UK and Hong Kong, most recently at the French May Arts Festival 2023. Outside their regular performance schedule, they also share their passion for music as Live Music Now musicians with the community.
