Founded in 2022 by Karen Wong and Lance, the wind-and-piano ensemble — built around flexible instrumentation — brought together Hong Kong-born musicians based in either the UK or Hong Kong. Alongside expanding the repertoire and exploring the distinctive soundworld created by their instrumental combination, the ensemble was committed to promoting contemporary music and sparking social dialogue. This mission had led to commissions of new works by living composers such as Alvin Leung and Tak-kei Wong, as well as premieres of music by Richard Stoker and Lance. Their projects have also been awarded funding from the National Lottery Project Grants. They have toured throughout the UK and Hong Kong, appearing at Conway Hall in 2025 and at the French May Arts Festival 2023. Meanwhile, the ensemble also shared its passion for music with the wider community as part of Live Music Now.

Following Karen's relocation to Macau in 2025, the ensemble was rebranded as Resonance Frontier under Lance's direction, marking the beginning of a renewed artistic vision.
